Jリーグ初年度優勝から2連覇、ナビスコカップも3連覇するなど開幕期に黄金時代を築いたヴェルディ。 日本リーグ時代と合わせるとリーグ優勝7回、カップ戦優勝6回、天皇杯優勝5回など数々のタイトルを獲得しました。

In 1969, "Yomiuri Soccer Club" was born as club team aiming to become Japan’s first professional football team.
Built a new era by winning various titles, including the first J-League championship.
TOKYO VERDY used to be in the central position as the pioneer of Japan’s football scene.

挫折

一方で、ホームタウン移転、親会社撤退、クラブ消滅危機、J2降格から長年の低迷など数え切れないほど味わってきた多くの挫折。

In 1999, the management body was transferred from Yomiuri Shimbun to Nippon Television.
In 2001, the hometown was relocated from Kawasaki to Tokyo.
Demoted for the first time to the J2 League in 2005. Promoted once since then but demoted again in 2008.
Later, when the management base changed and the club business was in a crisis.

再建

ヴェルディが続けてきた「育成」と「ベレーザ」を軸に、親会社のいない市民クラブに。サポーターやホームタウン、パートナー企業の方々に支えられる存在へ。

Hanyu Hideyuki, then-J-League secretary-general, assumed the post of president concurrently and began reconstruction efforts.
Focused on the academy and Beleza, which were handed down over generations. Steady and continuous growth centered on these two.
Stakeholders and community members who support clubs without a parent company.
Supporters continued to come and give encouragement even as the club’s operating scale changed.
Management was stabilized with the support of various partners, and in 2018, won the J1 entry playoff and improved to being a win shy of being promoted to the J1 league.

進化

創立50周年を迎えた2019年、ブランドビジネスと総合クラブ化を表明し、ブランディングを実行。多様な方々と関わり合うブランドへ成長させていきます。

Announced a new business policy on the occasion of its 50th anniversary in 2019. Started rebranding and renewed its brand ide.
Transitioned from a soccer business to a brand business, and towards being a brand-centered and diverse existence.
Became a comprehensive club that nurtures diverse talent and creates new entertainment beyond the boundaries of competitive sports.
Tokyo Verdy Club is born with the same brand on its shoulders as it marches on to create a new era.
From 2020, there will be a new logo for football as well. The unified design for partner companies and competitions has become a much talked-about topic.
Expand activities as ALL Tokyo Verdy with the aim of becoming a role model for a comprehensive club.
